NWYBSL Rec League Baseball Softball - Summer 2025

NorthWood Youth Baseball / Softball League Registration

2025 Season

Season Dates: Practices start in Late March, Early April and Games in May-June, and All-stars in July.

Cost: $50 for first child per family, $35 (-$15 discount) for each additional sibling in family.

Divisions available: Coach Pitch/Teeball (5-6 years)

Minors Baseball (Pitching Machine) (7-9 years)

Majors Baseball (10-13 years)

Juniors Girls Softball (Pitching Machine) (7-10 years)

Majors Girls Softball (Live pitch/Machine) (11-14 years)

Credit Card payment required (small fee): Unless registering in person and paying by Cash/Check; in which case see board member when checking out at signup/ registration at Nappanee Elementary for payment code;

In Person Signups will be offered throughout February at Upwards basketball games in Nappanee Elementary or Boys and Girls club lobbies from 9-11am.

Parent Meeting: Monday March 24th; 7PM at NorthWood HS auditorium.

Our Mission

NorthWood Youth Baseball/Softball League will provide a healthy environment for the youth of our communities. Our focus is to encourage participation, develop character and discipline, promote teamwork and community pride. We will strive to provide quality instruction in the development of baseball/softball skills, sportsmanship, competitiveness and fair play. While we respect the competitive nature of the game of baseball and softball, we will treat individual and team success/failure as a vehicle for growth and development. The NorthWood Youth Baseball/Softball League is committed to enriching the lives of our youth.

OUR PROGRAMS

NorthWood Youth Baseball and Softball League (NWYBSL)

Providing Nappanee area youth with recreational baseball and softball leagues for boys and girls age 5-14 from April-June.

NorthWood Youth Boys Travel teams

NorthWood area boys baseball travel teams fields a 10u, 12u and Junior High (14u) team that play in local Boys of Summer League May-July.

NorthWood Youth Girls Softball Travel teams

NorthWood area girls softball travel teams field a 12u and 14u teams that play in the local Seriously Softball league May-July.

Our Background

NorthWood Youth Baseball Softball League was founded in 1982 by the Nappanee Police Department for the youth of Nappanee.

Our Expertise

The Home of NWYBSL is centrally located in Nappanee on the well maintained fields inside Stauffer Park and Callander Sports Complex. Field and Facilities maintenance provided by the City of Nappanee Parks and Recreation Dept.

Our Community

At NorthWood Youth Baseball Softball League, we believe that youth sports should offer an opportunity for all kids to participate, have fun, and learn good sportsmanship in a friendly and community centered environment.
