The NorthWood Travel Softball is a local softball program that currently has two teams selected from tryouts held annually in the fall. The teams practice throughout the year and play games in May-July in the Seriously Softball League. They also attend 1-2 tournaments a year. The goal of the program is to provide a step up in competition from rec-league ball but without the high financial and travel commitments of a full fledged travel program, but to continually develop players as a feeder program for the NorthWood High School program. Games are played on Mon/ Wed nights throughout the summer as double headers against local teams with appx 30 miles as part of the Seriously Softball League.
